Thousands of residents and visitors were on Adam Clayton Powell Blvd from 111th Street to 136th Street on Sunday, September 20th for the 46th annual African-American Day parade. Participants enjoyed a sunny day in the 70’s with a cool breeze. The grand marshals included Radio Personality, Tom Joyner; NAACP Leader Hazel Dukes; Harlem Community Newspapers Publisher, Pat Stevenson; Restaurant owner Melba Wilson; Unity Funeral President and CEO, Clifford Jones, Make My Cake CEO, Joann Baylor; Kenneth Morrison, CEO of Lemore Realty; Robert Horsford, President and COO of Apex Building and the First African-American Speaker, Carl E. Hestie.
